Inspiring the Next Generation Through Water, Science and Sustainability

At ADS, we believe in investing in the communities we serve and helping inspire the next generation of problem-solvers, engineers and environmental stewards. That's why our partnership with The Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, Ohio, continues to be such a meaningful part of our community engagement efforts.

Bringing Water Education to Life

ADS was proud to sponsor the 2026 COSI Science Festival, joining thousands of students, families, educators and science enthusiasts in celebrating discovery and innovation.

Throughout the festival, our team connected with community members, answered questions about our business and demonstrated how stormwater management and plastic recycling work together to create more sustainable communities. Visitors learned how ADS solutions help protect water resources, reduce environmental impact and support resilient infrastructure across North America.

By showcasing the connection between recycled materials, stormwater infrastructure and environmental protection, we help participants understand how science, engineering and sustainability intersect in the work we do every day.

These conversations can introduce students to careers that protect water, support communities and solve real-world challenges. Our team was inspired by the curiosity and enthusiasm of everyone who stopped by the booth to learn more about the vital role water plays in everyday life.

The Partnership with COSI

Our partnership with COSI began in 2025 with a shared commitment to STEAM education, environmental awareness and community engagement. Now in its second year, the partnership includes multiple opportunities for ADS team members to connect with students and families throughout the year.

The partnership extends beyond the annual Science Festival through programs designed to introduce students to STEAM careers.

Exploring STEAM Careers Through Passport to STEAM Futures Day

Beyond the Science Festival, ADS participates in Passport to STEAM Futures Day, an extension of COSI’s Color of Science program that introduces students to educational opportunities and career paths in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.

ADS team members share their experiences and demonstrate how careers in engineering, manufacturing, sustainability and environmental management can protect water resources and build resilient infrastructure.

Events like Color of Science provide valuable opportunities to connect with students from all backgrounds and encourage them to explore the possibilities that STEAM education can offer.

Building the Next Generation of Water Leaders

Through our continued partnership with COSI, ADS is helping more students explore the science behind water, infrastructure and sustainability. These experiences can turn curiosity into knowledge and introduce young learners to careers that make a measurable difference in their communities.
