Beyond the Septic System: Unique Uses of Infiltrator Products

Infiltrator products have been installed in septic systems throughout the US and Canada since the late 1980’s. But that's not the only use Infiltrator products have served over the years. Have you ever watched a movie or television show and recognized something familiar in the background? Our chambers and tanks have been dressed up and used on movie and television sets and as props in the queue lines for amusement park rides since the early 1990's.

Movies

"Jurassic Park" (1993)

In one of the earlier scenes of “Jurassic Park” a chamber is used as the incubation bed in the dinosaur egg hatching lab. Look for the chamber on the right side of the screen in this picture or video clip.

"Men in Black" (1997)

Towards the end of "Men in Black" a spaceship crash lands; chambers can be seen on either side of the ramp of this spaceship. Look for chambers in this picture.

"Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" (1999)

In the opening scene of "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" a few chambers can be found embedded into the walls of the ship. Look for chambers in this picture

"Agent Cody Banks" (2003)

There is a scene in "Agent Cody Banks" where the clarifier cones from our Whitewater Series aerobic wastewater treatment units are used as light shades throughout a warehouse facility. Look for them in this picture.

"Star Trek Beyond" (2016)

Earlier in "Star Trek Beyond" when the ship is under attack you can see chambers with end caps built into the floor and walls of the ship. Start searching for them at around 25 minutes into the movie.

"Black Panther" (2018)

The final battle scene of "Black Panther" shows chambers assembled bottom to bottom being carried and stacked throughout the platform. Here's a picture showing this scene.

"Ad Astra" (2019)

The space antenna featured in the beginning of the movie, "Ad Astra," was constructed using chambers. Check it out in this picture or video clip

"The Tomorrow War" (2021)

Chambers can be spotted in a scene of "The Tomorrow War" that took place within a training facility. If you watch the movie start searching for chambers at around the 25-minute mark or look for one in this picture.

Television

"Stargate SG-1" (1997-2007)

A chamber was used as a light fixture in the TV show, "Stargate SG-1." Look for the chamber in this picture.

"The 100" (2014-2020)

Episodes that aired during the first couple seasons of "The 100" showed chambers and tanks used a few ways. In the fifth episode of the first season an Infiltrator chamber can be seen as part of a spacecraft (if you have Netflix, it's in the thumbnail image for that episode). Here's a video clip showing this spacecraft. Tank halves and chambers can also be seen scattered around the basecamp used by the main characters throughout the second season.

"Supergirl" (2015-2021)

The season finale (episode 22) of the fourth season of "Supergirl" features several chambers used along the walls of the Amertek Energy Refinery set. This video clip and picture show chambers used in that episode.

"Star Trek: Discovery" (2017-2024)

Episode seven of the first season of "Star Trek: Discovery" features our tanks, chambers, and risers in a scene of the ship's bay. They even added lighting to the risers. You can see some of the scene in this picture

"Loki" (2021-2023)

This picture shows both standard and low-profile chambers built into the set of an episode of "Loki."

"Ahsoka" (2023-)

Chambers can be found built into the wall if you look quickly towards the beginning of this trailer video.

Amusement Parks

From 1999 to 2015 Infiltrator chambers could be seen in the queue line for The Incredible Hulk Coaster at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure in Orlando, FL. The video clip that was shared with us showing our chambers in this area has since been removed from YouTube. But if you happened to have ridden this roller coaster between 1999 and 2015 you might have seen our chambers in the queue line area; they were painted green.

We've also received a report of our chambers being used in the queue line for the indoor roller coaster, Flight of Fear, at Kings Island in Mason, OH. Sorry, we don't have a link to a video clip showing this one either.

The list above is by no means a complete list. We're sure there are more chamber and tank sightings out there. Let us know where you've seen Infiltrator products outside of the onsite industry by filling out our contact form
