Installation & Maintenance

  • To install the flexible saddle: drill hole in pipe wall with a hole saw; place saddle on pipe; tighten clamps around the saddle with torque wrench; position pipe into saddle inlet and tighten the clamp around inlet to secure
  • To install the Flo-Tap™ rigid saddle: clamp saddle over pipe and tap in wedge; remove cap and turn internal cutter to cut pipe opening; solvent-weld new line; remove cutter and debris; replace cap to prevent leaking
  • To install the Clamp-It™ rigid saddle: drill hole in pipe; place saddle over hole and attach clamping hinge around pipe; apply wedge and secure in place with a tap of a rubber mallet
  • If water is leaking out, tighten clamp on flexible saddle to ensure a firm seal.  Saddle performance issues can indicate damage; replace as needed
