Fix broken PVC irrigation and plumbing pipe in tight spaces with the Pro-Span® Compact™ PVC Expansion Repair Coupling for 1 in. pipe. The expandable repair coupling is engineered to work in cramped and confined spaces to replace broken pipe or provide an extension for a section of pipe that is too short. The compact design minimizes excavation around the damaged pipe. Once the broken pipe section is removed, the telescoping fitting extends to bridge the gap between the two ends of pipe. Use a 1 in. Sch. 40 PVC coupling (not included) to attach spigot end to pipe and form a secure, watertight connection. Includes smart features for a smoother, easier install – adjustable length locks in place; patented Grip-Lock technology prevents the piston from spinning when inserting onto pipe; and Easy-Grip handle provides a firm grip for wet and muddy hands. Advanced dual-seal design stops the leak before it starts. Coupling is made of corrosion-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
Applications:
- Fix and replace damaged irrigation pipe or plumbing mainline to effectively stop leaks and minimize excavation around the damaged pipe
- Ideal for repairing PVC pipe used for in-ground or surface outdoor sprinkler systems; can also be used in the installation of a PVC valve or tee; ideal for use in tight, confined spaces but works well for pipe repair of various lengths
- As part of an outdoor sprinkler/irrigation system, the expansion repair coupling repairs broken PVC pipe; connects two pipes of the same size and type together to convey water
