Prevent debris from entering a hydrant and damage to external threads with the Fire Hydrant Cap, 2-1/2 in. FPT X 3/4 in. FPT. This cap also protects a hydrant from unauthorized use and vandalism. The nonconductive hydrant cap is lightweight, easy to install, and resistant to corrosion and rust. The cap fits 2-1/2 in. hydrant outlets on one end, and 3/4 in. MPT connections on the other end. This reusable cap is a more economical alternative to aluminum or brass hydrant caps. Durable fire hydrant cap is made of PVC plastic and has an EPDM O-ring. Fire hydrant caps are used to prevent debris from entering hydrant and damaging external threads. Caps are installed on hydrant outlets to block debris and protect hydrant and components from vandalism. NDS fire hydrant caps are engineered for ease of installation, durability and performance.
