Capture large volumes of stormwater runoff with a smaller footprint than traditional underground systems using the NDS StormChamber® system. The modular stormwater chambers can be laid out in unique configurations to fit job site requirements, and stacked to increase storage capacity while maintaining usable space above ground. This 18 in. high drainage chamber features minimum installed storage of 48 cubic feet and internal chamber volume of 24 cubic feet. The end unit is the last chamber placed in a row that can include one or more middle units and a start unit. To increase storage, additional rows can be interconnected with pipe from side portals. StormChamber units are made of thermoformed high-density weight polyethylene, engineered to withstand extreme environments, exceeds the AASHTO H-20 design load, and allow for deeper cover than other systems. Use included SedimenTrap™ devices to capture sediments and help extend the lifespan of the system.

Applications:

  • Detains, infiltrates, and conveys stormwater runoff; modular system maximizes storage volume with a smaller footprint than traditional concrete and stone systems; easy to maintain
  • Works in commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential settings to manage stormwater runoff; ideal for installing underneath parking lots, playing fields, and landscapes
  • As part of a complete stormwater management system, the StormChamber® system works with a capture device or drainage inlet to detain, infiltrate, and convey collected stormwater

Features:

  • Holds significant volume compared to other same size stormwater chambers on the market
  • Designed for strength due to thermoformed high-density weight polyethylene (HMWPE) material; withstands extreme environments, and exceeds the AASHTO H-20 design load
  • Simple install; internal crossover eliminates expensive header pipe manifold system; modular chambers overlap to form rows; side portal feed connects rows, provides greater flexibility and hydraulic design
  • Easy maintenance; saves water and money by removing sediments from SedimenTrap™ devices using an air vacuum truck rather than jet cleaning with water
  • LONG LIFE EXPECTANCY - designed by engineers, ecologists, and biologists to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness
