George J. Igel & Co. Inc.
The runway 10R/28L project included a new 10,113-foot runway to replace the current patchwork runway, which included concrete and asphalt.

PRODUCTS USED

The new runway allows for simultaneous arrivals and departures and creates space for a future terminal in the center of airport property.

ADS SaniTite HP pipe was utilized for nearly five miles of the stormwater drainage system around the new runway. SaniTite HP kept the installation efficient as the contractor’s crew was able to install the pipe at maximum production rates. The crew was able to install 200 feet (61 m) of 36” (900 mm) pipe in just 90 minutes at one point. The contractor stated that SaniTite HP was easily maneuverable and light weight, which provided benefits to his crew that competitive, heavier products could not.

These efficiencies saved time and material costs, which benefited the airport. ADS staged the pipe at its own nearby facilities and delivered the products on time, which improve airport safety for people and planes.
