111F Minimum Cover Temporary Tracked Axle HP Pipe Detail

This document is the 111F Minimum Cover Temporary Tracked Axle HP Pipe Detail. Illustrations of pipe positions to traffic direction with table and notes provided.

An illustration of the pipe perpendicular to traffic direction shows the ground pressure of track footprint and ground pressure at spring line of pipe.

A second illustration of the pipe parallel to traffic direction shows the ground pressure of track footprint and ground pressure at spring line of pipe.

A table with vehicle, vehicle description, minimum track width, ground pressure, pipe diameter and temporary minimum cover heights for Class I compacted and Class II 95% SPD is provided.

Notes state that minimum cover heights are based on live loading calculations while driving over the pipe while not performing operational tasks. Cover heights do not take into consideration potential rutting or drive surface. Backfill material is fully compacted to surface. If minimum coverage cannot be achieved, perform deflection evaluations to ensure pipe roundness. When vehicles exceed maximum loadings in the field, contact ADS. Refer to standard recommendations for installation practices.
