This document explains the Inserta Tee For Lined Rigid Pipe Applications Detail. A detail of the Inserta Tee, pipe liner and installation instructions included.

The Inserta Tee For Lined Rigid Pipe Applications (CIPP) detail shows the concrete encase cut away section where required by liner manufacturer, Inserta Tee hub adapter, deteriorated rigid pipe and rubber sleeve.

The 2nd detail shows the concrete encase cut away section where required by liner manufacturer, pipe liner and deteriorated rigid pipe.

Installation instructions are in 6 steps: mark area to be tapped on surface of rigid pipe. Working area should be 2” wider than diameter of Inserta Tee. Break away rigid pipe to be tapped and expose new liner section. Brush and clean pipe liner surface and remove damaged sections of rigid pipe. Core hole into liner with Inserta Tee saw. Install Inserta Tee tap connection. Encase cut out section of rigid pipe with concrete.
