Henderson approved HP Storm in the spring of 2024. The ADS team worked closely with Horrocks and KB Home to have HP Storm specified for the new 244-home Caspian Bay residential subdivision. ADS also communicated with the City of Henderson, which will own and maintain the system, to ensure a smooth review process for the first subdivision to use HP Storm.
The high-performance pipe saved installation time and was also a cost savings for the development. HP Storm’s 100-year-service life will also provide long-term durability. Large diameter HP Storm was used to provide stormwater conveyance as Las Vegas experiences heavy rainfall and the subdivision is situated on a hillside with a lot of rainwater runoff.
HP Storm polypropylene pipe provides superior pipe stiffness, longer bells and spigots and a premium joint performance for a longer service life. The smooth interior wall offers additional strength and high flow capacity. HP Storm pipe, available in diameters from 12”-60” (300-1500 mm) meets or exceeds the standards specified in ASTM F2881 and AASHTO M330 and the extended bell and spigot meets ASTM D3212. Polypropylene is resistant to the effects of chemicals, abrasion, hot soils and effluent.
