Frequently Asked Questions

You don’t need an account to use the tool, but you will need a free account in order to use all the features of the Design Tool. Features like saving and loading your projects, inserting background images, and receiving CAD & PDF drawings all require an account.

At this time the StormTech Design Tool and the main ADS website use separate accounts;  you need separate accounts to be able to sign into both sites. 

The design tool is best experienced on a laptop or desktop running a Chromium based browser. These include but are not limited to Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge & Opera

Create site-specific stormwater management systems using StormTech Chambers or LandMax pipe.

Users are able to design systems using all the current StormTech chamber models and solid or perforated HDPE pipe systems.

Currently the design tool supports only one product line (StormTech or LandMax) per project. If multiple product lines are desired, please create a new project or contact your ADS representative.

Note: Multi-bed projects allow users to use multiple StormTech chamber models or multiple LandMax pipe diameters

Yes, with a free account you can save and revisit all your projects through the Manage Projects panel.

Yes, first open the Manage Projects panel and load the project you want to duplicate. Once loaded, on the left-hand side of the tool under Project Information click on "Save As Copy/Revision" The active project will now be a copy of the original project for any rework or revision needs. 

For StormTech Projects you will receive:

• PDF & DWG versions of your design
• • This includes both a multipage 11x17 drawing package and a single page 24x36 version
  • Multi-bed projects provide a combined package showing all systems and associated details in a single file.
  • If background image was used in design, the corresponding reference file is included as well.
• A Bill of Materials as an Excel spreadsheet
• A cumulative storage Excel spreadsheet
• Instructions for creating your system in HydroCAD (if requested)

For LandMax projects you will receive:

• A PDF copy of your design
• Individual DWG files for each sheet of your drawing package
• If background image was used in design, the corresponding reference file as well.
• A Bill of Materials as an Excel spreadsheet

At this moment pricing information is not available through the design tool.

At the moment direct sharing between accounts is not available through the design tool. To share your design with a colleague or distributor you can share a copy of your drawing package or forward the project email received from the design tool.

When you request Email Drawings & Reports you have the option to request to be contacted by an ADS Representative. 

If you are not ready to request Email Drawings & Reports you can request to be contacted by navigating to the Contact & Resources panel on the left and clicking Contact Us About Your Project under the Contact section. 

Note:You need to have a saved project in order to access this option.

Yes, at the top right of the screen you can click on Get Started here. This Tutorial will guide you through the design of your first StormTech system

The StormTech Design Tool keeps you signed in for 24 hours and saves user account information to make signing in easier for future sessions. If you need to change your password first you must make sure you are signed out.

Either click "Sign Out" at the top right corner or if your session has expired click on "Log in or Create an Account" to bring up the sign in window. From here click on the three dots next to your account and select sign out. Once signed out, re-initiate the sign in process and when prompted for your password instead click on "Forgot Password?"  

A code will be sent to your email, retrieve it and enter it into the browser window and click next.

You'll now be prompted for a new password, once a new password has been entered and confirmed you will be signed into the tool and the password change will be complete. 

Notes:

• The verification code will arrive from adsciam (via Microsoft) <account-security-noreply@accountprotection.microsoft.com>
• You may need to either disable your pop up blocker in the browser settings, or allow pop ups, as a pop up blocker may prevent a necessary second window from appearing.

Only you and ADS representatives are able to see projects in your account.

Yes - Within the Manage Projects panel select the desired project, then at the top the option to delete a project will appear.

Designs are stored indefinitely. Please be aware that as we work to improve the tool and our standards change, older projects may need to be updated to reflect changes. 

Download links from your emails are only good for 1 calendar year.
