AquaLux Regulatory Status Under NJDEP/NJCAT
AquaLux has achieved independent verification for 80% Total Suspended Solids (TSS) removal under NJDEP/NJCAT filter testing protocols and has received regulatory approvals for stormwater treatment applications.
How AquaLux Works
Stormwater runoff enters the AquaLux system and flows into a pretreatment chamber where larger sediment particles settle before reaching the filtration chamber. Water then passes through an array of membrane filter elements designed to remove suspended solids. Treated stormwater exits the system and continues downstream. During larger storm events, bypass flow paths protect treatment performance while maintaining hydraulic capacity.
Common Applications
- Commercial developments
- Municipal infrastructure projects
- Transportation corridors
- Urban redevelopment projects
- Parking lots
- Industrial facilities
- Sites with limited footprint availability
Why Should you use AquaLux?
- AquaLux has a Very High Treatment Capacity
AquaLux is designed to maximize treatment flow within a compact footprint, helping designers treat larger drainage areas while reducing the space required for stormwater infrastructure. - Compact Footprint
Compared to conventional high-flow filtration systems, AquaLux helps reduce structure size, excavation requirements, and overall site impacts. - Proven Stormwater Treatment Performance
AquaLux has been independently verified to achieve 80% TSS removal in accordance with NJDEP/NJCAT filter testing protocols. - Flexible Configurations
Available in HP manholes, concrete manholes, and vault systems, AquaLux can be adapted to a variety of site layouts and project requirements. - Low Hydraulic Impact
AquaLux is designed with minimal hydraulic grade line impact and low driving head requirements, allowing greater flexibility during project design.
Scalable Impact for Contractors & Engineers
AquaLux™ is a high-flow stormwater filtration system that utilizes gravitational settling and membrane filtration to remove suspended solids from stormwater runoff. The system is designed to provide high treatment capacity within a compact underground footprint and is available in both manhole and vault configurations.
Stormwater enters a pretreatment chamber where larger sediment particles settle out of the flow. Water then passes through an array of membrane filter elements that remove suspended solids before the treated water exits the system. During larger storm events, bypass flow paths maintain hydraulic capacity while protecting treatment performance.
