This document is the Geo Spec 4597. It explains the specifications for nonwoven geotextile with filter fabric properties and packaging tables.
This specification describes ADS 4597 nonwoven geotextile Filter Fabric Requirements. ADS 4597 is a needle-punched nonwoven composed of polypropylene staple fibers, which are formed into a random network for dimensional stability. ADS 4597 resists ultraviolet deterioration, rotting, biological degradation and naturally encountered basics and acids. Polypropylene is stable within a pH range of 2 to 13.
The filter fabric properties table explains property, test method, units and M.A.R.V. of weight, grab tensile, grab elongation, trapezoid tear strength, puncture resistance, asphalt retention, melting point and UV resistance (at 500 hours).
The packaging table lists roll dimensions and rolls square yards values.
