This document is the Drain Basin & Inline Drain Turf Traffic Installation Nyloplast Detail. It shows the inline drain and drain basin with descriptions.

The drain basin illustration shows the 12” – 36” drain basin with frame & grate/solid cover, 18” minimum & 8” minimum thickness guidelines, top soil, minimum pipe burial, bottom flange of frame must be supported by concrete collar and backfill material made from crushed stone or other granular material. The 12” – 30” inline drain illustration shows the minimum depth for turf, 18” minimum thickness, top soil, bottom flange of frame must be supported by concrete collar and traffic loads.

Note 1 states that grates/solid covers shall meet H-20 load rating. Note 2 explains that design should account for root depth to allow turf to grow and prevent erosion around the grate. Note 3 says that 36” drain basins require 36” x 30” reducing cone.
