This document is the BaySeparator Stormwater Treatment System Brochure. Preventing pollution in water, design, system operation and specifications explained.
BaySaver Technologies is committed to minimizing pollution in stormwater. The filters and separators remove pollutants such as hydrocarbons, trash, sediment, metals, total phosphorus, dissolved phosphorus and dissolved nitrogen.
The BaySeparator system removes 80% + of pollution relying on density differences and gravity to remove suspended solids and floatables from storm water runoff. It has a high-density polyethylene device that routes stormwater between 2 different manholes for optimal removal. Pollutants are trapped inside the precast structure until they are removed by routine maintenance.
The BaySeparator is available in 5 standard sizes shown in a chart provided. Units are kept in stock and deliverable within a week. Unit arrives ready for installation. Unit is grouted to manhole. Standard boots or approved seals are used when connecting pipes join storage manhole. Unite should be backfilled with Class I, II or III material.
The system operation has 3 flow paths, low flow which is treated in the offline storage manhole, course sediments settle in the primary manhole and finer sediments conveyed to the storage manhole. Maximum treatment rate, maximum hydraulic rate and maintenance discussed.
The BaySeparator specifications explain the materials & design, performance and installation.
