This document is the 609 HDPE Plain End to RCP Plain End Connection (MarMac) Detail. Cross sections with descriptions and dimensions provided.

The first cross section shows finish grade, dissimilar MARMAC coupler to be wrapped around connection, RCP pipe, class I bedding to support connection.

The second cross section shows remove IB bell or spigot, HDPE pipe to be connected, RCP pipe, existing grade and excavate existing grade to avoid soil intrusion and create safe work area. Care should be taken during installation to align joints between pipes.

The third section A-A shows a dissimilar MARMAC coupler to be wrapped around connection.

Notes state that connection and pipe to be backfilled per ASTM D2321, an internal coupler spigot may be used and inserted into the ID of the existing pipe to minimize joint movement. An internal coupler spigot adapter is not recommended for downstream connections.
